and sections of the University.
Data supervision for research and PG students
Maintenance of Computer Systems and other accessories
The
existing staff of the University computer Centre
is doing all these activities.
Till date there is no specific pattern of work
allotment in UCC. All the work related to the
department are taken by the technical staff
and does it whole heartedly without prejudice.
The budgeting and audit procedure of UCC is
just like any other department of the University.
As per the suggestions of the Finance department,
UCC makes the annual budget requirements. After
discussions with the Finance Officer, the Finance
wing allocates the budget provisions for the
year. The auditing on different bills is first
done by the internal Audit section of the Finance
department and subsequently by the State audit
department and finally by the Accountant General’s
Office.
The University Computer Centre has conducted
two training programmes for the University Staff
with the help of the School of Computer Science.
Those two programmes were a grand success. There
are request for the continuation of the programme.
So University Computer center is now waiting
for the University permission to start the training
for the next batch.
The University Computer Centre can act as a
Nodal Agency for computerization of the University
as whole.
In case the University Authorities permits the
University Computer Centre can take up the following
activities on the self-financing scheme.
Impart Software Training for the public
Impart Software Training to students of affiliated
colleges
To work as software consultant for industries
Students
from outside the University approached the UCC
to guide them in their project work leading
to the award of MCA and PGDCA. Some of them
submitted their project reports after completing
it using the facilities of UCC and already got
the degrees awarded.
Presently there is no industrial connection
for the University Computer center. UCC has
a good role to play in University-Industry Interactions.
So University Computer center is now looking
forward to improve the University-Industry interaction
with the permission of University.
